Ardattin Athletics/Slaney Valley Community Games
For the 2015 season Slaney Valley Community Games will run their athletics training in conjunction with Ardattin Athletics. The Community Games County Finals will be one of the competitions that Ardattin Athletics will be competing in.
Registration night for Ardattin Athletics will be held on Tuesday 3rd of March in the Hall in Ardattin at 7.00pm. First training session will take place immediately afterwards in the running track adjacent to the hall. Training will be held Tuesday and Friday nights 7 – 8pm Registration is open to everyone over 4 years of age on the 01.01.2015 and is €10 per child.
A number of coaches have completed courses with the AAI. Anyone interested in helping please contact a member of the committee. Training events include sprints, long distance, hurdles, long jump, high jump and throwing events.

MAKE & MODEL & ART COMPETITIONS.******
Make & Model.
The area final for the Make & Model Competition will be held on Friday 27th of February in St Brigid’s Hall Clonegal. Registration at 6.15. Competition at 6.30pm sharp. Age categories U10, U12, U14 & U16 boys and girls. We will hold a junior competition for younger children wishing to take part from 6.30 to 7.30.
Art.
Art area trials will now take place on Saturday 7th of March in Spellman Hall, Kildavin. Registration at 1.30pm. Competition 2.00pm. Age categories U8, U10, U12, U14 & U16 boys and girls. Again we will hold a junior competition for younger children wishing to take part from 2.30 to 3.30.
Hand Writing.
The area trials for the handwriting will take place on the 5th of March in St Brigid’s Hall, Clonegal. Registration at 6.30. Competition starting at 7.00pm. All materials will be provided. Age categories U-10 & U-12 boys and girls. County Final will be held on the 14th of March. Venue to be decided.
